Preliminary Notice of Joint Rapporteur Meeting in Chengdu, China
by Christian Groves 16 Apr '15

16 Apr '15

ITU-T WP1/16 Experts, As discussed during the SG16 meeting in Geneva, we intend to hold a Rapporteur meeting in Chengdu, China during the week of 8 (Monday) - 12 (Friday) June 2015 . Please see the attached meeting notice with information about the planned meeting. We ask that you register for the meeting and register contributions as soon as possible. Posting contributions can be delayed until the cut-off date, but we need to have a fairly accurate count of contributions and participants much sooner. Of course, documents can be registered until the date specified in the meeting invitation, but an earlier count is important in moving forward with the meeting. The meeting notice is attached. It and meeting venue information can also be found here: http://ftp3.itu.int/av-arch/avc-site/2013-2016/1506_Che/1506_Che.html We look forward to seeing you in Chengdu! Christian

Re: [sg16-avd] The first version of H.245 output text. It's too large for me to send. I zip it.
by Paul E. Jones 16 Feb '15

Liang, et al, For "DataProtocolCapability", I noted the "extendedDataCapability" was added at the end of "DataProtocolCapability". However, to advertise or use a "DataApplicationCapability", the "application" choice must be selected. Should the "extendedDataCapability" be added to the "application" choice? Or was it really intended to be at the end of the structure. If the latter, then what would be the "application" choice for most "extendedDataCapability" usages? For the "DataChannel" SEQUENCE, please add an extension marker after "dataChannelProfile" in case new elements are added in the future. In U.2: * "a SCTP association" should be "an SCTP association" * there is an extra space between the words "The endpoint" * In the second paragraph, there is an extra space at the start of the paragraph * In U.3, change "/[ITU-T H.235.DTLS]" to be "/H.235.DTLS [121]" for consistency with the rest of H.245 * change "If the establishmentType for the data channel indicates “DCEP”, once the..." to "If the establishmentType for the data channel indicates “DCEP” and once the ..." The reason is that there is another comma following almost immediately, so it makes the sentence more difficult to read. * I would suggest a similar change to the first sentence in U.4. That said, that sentence has a lot of "and"s in it. I'm not sure which reads better. Thanks! The template I refer there is the template to use when uploading contributions via DDP. Sorry about the lack of precision. NotDecember 2014, not February 2014 (no day, only month and year). I received a substantial number of contributions that say that the meeting date is either December 2014, or February 2014. For those, I will need to prepare an R1. · Over the weekend, we also received a number of contributions submitted via DDP that are using the WRONG document template for DDP submissions; for example, C.771 (http://www.itu.int/md/T13-SG16-C-0771/en) uses the e-mail submission or TD generic template. The right template for Contributions submitted via DDP can be downloaded from here: http://www.itu.int/oth/T0A0F000027/en · Finally, I kindly ask that you prefix the title of the contribution with the recommendation number when the contribution refers to an existing work item. Most of the contributions submitted follow this guideline, where applicable. · Contribution numbers: NO trailing zeroes to the left. For example: Bad = COM 16 – C 0751, Good = COM 16 – C 751 (no 0's before 751!) · If you upload a revised version of your document, make sure to add R1, R2, etc to the document number (in TWO places in the document header!)
