Mailing List Cleanup

19 Jan '07

Folks, A lot of folks have apparently changed jobs or e-mail addresses over the past several months, as all of the below e-mail addresses are bouncing back. I am preparing to remove all of the below addresses from the SG16 mailing list. If you see your colleague's name in the list, you might bring this to their attention so they can re-subscribe with a valid address. I suspect that some of the people are still at some companies, but addresses have changed. Paul PS - There is a possibility that some are temporary errors, but I checked to ensure that messages failed to deliver at least twice. Dear All So far,we have received the requests for letter of invitation from several experts who are going to attend this meeting. May I kindly remind all of you that to facilitate the organization of this meeting, experts who need an official letter of invitation are advised to send their requests to Miss Gao Li as soon as possible as described in the Shenzhen Invitation document? Thank you very much! We also noticed that some had sent fax to the hotel where the meeting will be hosted to make reservation, that is good. However,it seems some of these faxed messages failed to indicate the type of room as required in the Shenzhen Invitation document. One needs to indicate clearly which type of room he/she wants: A. deluxe room or B.deluxe sweet room It is not clear for the hotel to make a reservation for you if you indicate only “Single”. Hopefully those who haven’t sent a fax can make correct indication. Best Regards Noah Luo，Ph.D Senior Research Scientist Department of Industrial Standards Huawei Technologies,Co.Ltd. Q.1 template for Shenzhen Rapporteur meeting
by Patrick Luthi 17 Jan '07

17 Jan '07

Dear Q.1 experts, Following the update of the AVD document template for the upcoming Shenzhen Rapporteur meeting, I went ahead and adapted it for Q.1 documents. This will allow consistent formatting across WP2 Questions. The change to the template is intended to allow easier development of a Rapporteur meeting document into an SG16 Contribution or Temporary Document. Please feel free to download the template which I made available on the LBC site: <http://ftp3.itu.ch/av-arch/lbc-site/0703_Shenzhen/ShenzhenTemplate.doc>. Best regards, Patrick Luthi Rapporteur for Q.1/16

Template for the Shenzen meeting document
by OKUBO Sakae 17 Jan '07

17 Jan '07

Dear WP2/16 experts, The template for AVD-numbered or TD-numbered documents of the upcoming Shenzen meeting has been updated as in <http://ftp3.itu.ch/av-arch/avc-site/2005-2008/0703_She/AVD-template 0703_She.doc>. This change is intended to allow easier development of a Rapporteur meeting document into an SG16 Contribution or Temporary Document. The essential point is the use of embedded styles provided in the template for the main body part of the document as you see in the instruction box. I would like to thank Mr Paul Jones and Mr Simao Campos-Neto for their efforts to generate this updated template. Using this opportunity, let me remind you that the document list for the Shenzen meeting is available at <http://ftp3.itu.ch/av-arch/avc-site/2005-2008/0703_She/0703_She.html> and will be periodically updated. -- Best regards, OKUBO Sakae e-mail: okubo(a)aoni.waseda.jp Visiting Professor Global Information and Telecommunication Institute (GITI) Waseda University ****************************************************************** Waseda University, YRP Ichibankan 312 Tel: +81 46 847 5406 3-4 Hikarinooka, Yokosuka-shi, Kanagawa-ken Fax: +81 46 847 5413 239-0847 Japan H.323 videoconferencing: arranged by advice ******************************************************************

Dear Experts of ITU-T SG16 Questions 2,3,4,5,21,22,24,25 and 29/16 I am sincerely extending warm invitation for all of you to come to this meeting hosted by Huawei in Shenzhen,China. If you are interesting in coming to this meeting, when you make preparations, it is useful to read the following document carefully: http://ftp3.itu.int/av-arch/avc-site/2005-2008/0703_She/Shenzhen_Invitation. doc It provides all necessary information. One thing I'd like to bring to your attention is concerning letter of invitation. For those who want to apply for a business visa to China,we need to obtain a official letter of invitation for you from Shenzhen municipal government.Since there is a break of about 15 days in government operation caused by the traditional Chinese Spring Festival,I suggest those who are in need of an official letter of invitation feed back your request and related information as required by the " Shenzhen_Invitation"document as soon as possible to Ms.Li Gao and me(Noah Luo) if it is convenient for you.Ideally,it is preferable that such feedback be received no later than 21st January. Thank you very much!
