WP1/16 Experts, I have processed all of the documents that I have received thus far, placing each of them on the AVC site: http://ftp3.itu.int/av-arch/avc-site/2013-2016/1403_Gen/1403_Gen.html Please look over the list (you may need to refresh the page) and let me know if you see any errors. If you submitted a document, it should be available for download. If it is not there and you did upload it, please re-send it to me. I have been advised that a few documents will be late. I did receive AVD-4538, however it is missing "Contact" information. Could the author please re-send that document to me and include contact information? Hello all, Just a reminder to register for the upcoming 1, 2, 3, 5, 21/16 Joint Rapporteur Meeting in Geneva 10-14th March 2014. To date I only have 6 registrations. We need a sufficient number of experts in order to hold the meeting. If you plan to attend the meeting please register and notify me of your registration as per the procedure below. From the meeting notice: 6. Registration and visa information -------------------------------------------- To register your meeting attendance, please pre-register using the online form http://itu.int/reg/tmisc/3000619. Additionally, please forward to the organizer of this meeting, Mr Christian Groves (Christian.Groves(a)nteczone.com) a copy of the registration acknowledgement message that will be automatically sent to you after you pre-register. Early registration of your attendance is welcome and encouraged, but preferably before 5 February 2014. Updated list of documents for the upcoming meeting

WP1/16 Experts, I updated the meeting directory with the current list of registered documents and, for those already submitted, inserted hyperlinks to those documents. You can find the document list here: http://ftp3.itu.int/av-arch/avc-site/2013-2016/1403_Gen/1403_Gen.html Please note that this is a current snapshot as of today, while the up-to-date list is accessible via the link at the top of the page. I will update this page several times before the meeting and again at the close of the registration period. At this point, there are documents submitted and/or I have been notified of intended submissions for all Questions, except Q21/16. In order to seek final approval for Q21 to meet, we really need to have documents registered by the end of next week. If you intend to submit a document to any Questions, I strongly advise you to register your document as soon as possible, even if the title is subject to change. I'll adjust the document titles in the document list as documents are posted, so there's no problem if titles change slightly. You can submit documents directly via the web form referenced at the top of the document list or simply inform me via email of the contribution (including the target Question(s), title, and source). Upcoming Rapporteur meeting

WP1/16 Experts, As a reminder, we need to have a reasonable count of planned contributions for the upcoming Rapporteur meeting. Without a sufficient number, we'll have to cancel the meeting. At the moment, Q3/16 has plenty of contributions, but the other Questions do not. If you plan to submit a contribution to the meeting, please submit your request by following the links on this page: http://www.packetizer.com/standards/itu-sg16/wp1/ Alternatively, you can send me an email with the Title, source, and so forth and I'll register it for you. Strictly speaking for Q2/16, if there is a preference for holding a series of electronic meetings instead of the face-to-face meeting, we can do that. If that would be your preference, let me know. I know some interested in the AMS work are unable to attend the meetings in Geneva, so we do have electronic meetings as an option. Paul

Upcoming Rapporteur meeting in Geneva (10-14 March 2014)

Dear experts, As you know, Q1,2,3,4,5,21/16 are planning to have a Rapporteur meeting in Geneva during the week of 10-14 March 2014. As in the past, Q1 is planning to hold a meeting together with those Questions. One of the main objectives is to progress video related and motorized conferencing matters. In order to start the planning process for this meeting, I would like to have an idea of the number of contributions for this meeting and who is planning to travel to Geneva for the Q1/16 sessions. Update on the work related to H.325 / AMS

Folks, I have been asked by a number of people for an update on the Advanced Multimedia System (AMS) / H.325. The mailing lists have been pretty quiet, but work is steadily progressing. I was also asked to refresh the AMS project page at the ITU. I produced a draft, but it still needs some work, as we're trying to present it simply and concisely; I have a tendency for verbosity. However, an update was definitely in order since it has been several years, in fact, since I updated my "overview" slides. Since that time, there has been a lot of progress in terms of defining the message flows, the relationship between entities, and the signaling syntax of the new system.
