FECC H.224/H.281 Implementation
by mohammad alam 14 Jan '08

14 Jan '08

hi Simon As you suggested I have added H323_H224Capability(). The brief code is H323_H224Capability *p = new H323_H224Capability(); capabilities.Add(p); in a class derived from H323EndPoint. The watch window here doesnot show much. But exe crashes in BOOL H323_H224Channel::Start() at h224Handler->StartTransmit(); I think it is not getting pointer right Can you guide me from there. alam.

PTLib compile errors
by Nyamul Hassan 13 Jan '08

13 Jan '08

Hi, I apologize beforehand if this is not the right list to ask questions on this topic. I had just tried unsuccessfully to compile PTLIB version 1.19.5 as downloaded from the H323+ website. I get 47 errors all on sound_directsound.h and sound_directsound.cx. I'm using MS VS.Net (running as administrator) on Windows Vista. Could someone please point to me what I might be doing wrong? Regards HASSAN

Re: [h323plus] How to Add Extended Video Capability for H.239
by Abhishek Rohilla 11 Jan '08

11 Jan '08

Hi simon I am using H323plus version 1.19.5 and plugins version 1.19.5, both downloaded from h323plus site. Is custom size supported in these versions?? I have one doubt that the H263 plugin is H263+ supported or not. If it is not H263+, I guess it might not support the custom size then. Will the next release be supporting custom image size transmission? Currently my application closes the established video channel after call is connected. If current versions support custom image size , how should I go about it?

Hi Simon I have put H239 work on hold till next release. I have one more problem. I am trying to support 1280 x 720 size video transmission but after call negotiations video channel is getting closed from my side because of some reason. I am using H263 dynamic capability for negotiating with DyLogic Mirial and have set width and heigth to 1280 and 720. I think H263 plugin must support all custom image sizes which are multiple of 4. But the video channel is getting closed after getting opened once. I have not been able to recognise the reason for it. Please help.

Question about plugin codecs
by JF NP 11 Jan '08

11 Jan '08

Hi all, I have successfully compiled both PTLib and H323Plus on Windows. I've also compiled and tested MyPhone2. All goes fine. But I have another sample app written by myself that is an OCX (which links with PTLib and H323Plus) that manages all the H323 stuff and an EXE that uses the OCX to make a simple videocall. The problem is that my app cannot find the plugin codecs (neither audio nor video). I think that the problem could be related to the fact that I am using an OCX linked with PTLib, instead of an EXE. Is this correct? Is there any solution or workaround? Using PWlib with Visual Studio 2005
by Paul Chitescu 09 Jan '08

09 Jan '08

Hello! Does anyone have a solution for building PWlib and PWlib based programs and libraries (OpenH323/H323Plus) with Visual Studio 2005 and later? I found a link to a set of VS patches in some older archive but unfortunately that site and its domain has gone belly up. Is there any chance Visual Studio is going to be supported by PWlib or we should look for something else? Paul Chitescu

Hi All I want to implement FECC H.224/H.281 in my project. I am using h323plus on windows platform. Can anybody guide me how to do that.? I have many queries related to that 1) Is h323_h224 channel is open by default in h323plus or do I need to open it explicitly 2) Which is the best way to get h224handler or h281handler? Video Codec Plugin Problem Continued
by Abhishek Rohilla 09 Jan '08

09 Jan '08

Hi I have done as you mentioned in class derived from H323EndPoint. I added capabilities as follows. AddAllCapabilities(0, 0, "*"); AddAllUserInputCapabilities(0, P_MAX_INDEX); I am using Visual Studio.Net 2003 for my application. This is the trace in the output window of VS 2003 Loaded 'C:\PWLIB_PLUGINS\h261vic_pwplugin.dll', No symbols loaded. Loaded 'C:\PWLIB_PLUGINS\h263ffmpeg_pwplugin.dll', Symbols loaded. I guess the dlls are loaded but codecs are not actually plugged in because of some reason. When I checked the capabilities only two codecs G711 U and A law are there in it and remaining 8 enteries show H323_UserInputCapability string . Please Help!!!

File Transfer Capability added to CVS
by Simon Horne 08 Jan '08

08 Jan '08

Guys I have added the first cut of the file transfer capability to the CVS. The implementation (which is really TFTP tunneled thro' RTP) currently has a default transfer rate of 132kbits/s or 16 Kbytes/s however the rate can be changed and the transfer speed negotiated between the parties. The concept uses large TFTP blocks that are segmented transmitted and resequenced via RTP. In this way large transfer rates are possible over error prone networks with UDP as well as being compatible with NAT Traversal mechanisms like GnuGk,STUN etc. If I get some time I will release a sample application.
