Your support solved my problem, now I can use t38modem 1.0.1 with H323. Thanks. Where can I get support for T38Modem to make it work with OPAL ? I DL "cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@openh323.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/openh323 co -D "5/21/2007 23:59:59" opal" but with no positive result... I can run configure only with: ./configure --disable-versioncheck --enable-localspeex After I get a binary, t38modem it's looking for lib pwlib 1.12... with now is 2.0.1 :) Renameing 2.0.1 lib to 1.12, won't help... Hi , I want to know if the H323Plus code, has support for H.264 Plug-in ? Are there any sample code or application avaiable for the same. We need to have a videoconferencing application with H.264 support. Is it possible to use H323Plus for the same and what amount of implementations will be required for it. Hello ! I try to build, t38modem from version 8.x.x since half a year, with no positive result, also from the svn... :( Now I see you have realese version 1.0.1, but still there is NO documentation for this... :( I presume there is need for: - PWLIB or PTLIB - version ? link to DL ? - OpenH323 or H323Plus - version ? link to DL ? - Opal (yes I need SIP !) - version ? link to DL ? and of course t38modem 1.0.1 My system is: Slackware 11, kernel 2.6.24.3 Thank you.

T38Modem support now in H323plus

Guys Just a quick note T38modem has been added to the list of open source applications supported with h323plus. Special thanks to Tamas for testing and providing his support for the application. You will need the latest patch ptlib 2.0.1-3 for Linux and h323plus v1.20 to ensure it runs stable. You can download the source code from the h323plus website. Simon Note: This project is still officially being developed with Opal however Tamas has offered to maintain the existing OpenH323 (now H323plus) version.

Using codec plugins

Hello, I think that the Simple h323 program should support all codecs provided in h323plus because "AddAllCapabilities" is used. However, it seems that G723 is not supported in h323plus 1.20.1 by default, only g711. Consecqunelty, only g711 can be used by the Simple program. I know that now codec plugins should be used.I have the plugins from h323plus.org ready. Any guide how to build h323plus to support ACM G723 codec? Versions used: PTLib 2.0.1, h323plus 1.20.1, simple H323 1.20.0. Regards, Zarko

Problem Sending Video to Polycom VSX7000

Hi I am trying to connect my video conferencing application to Polycom VSX7000. I am able to receive video but no video is received on Polycom side. I checked the GetFrameData function which is used to copy RGB data in H323 buffer. It is being called in normal way but somehow video is not transmitted to Polycom side. Has anyone tested H323+ library with VSX7000. Please help. I have attached the trace file.

VC++ express ed. build problem

Hello Friends, Anybody managed to build ptlib/h323plus on Visual C++ 2008 express edition? I get file not found error for atlbase.h included at ptts.cxx when triing to compile ptlib. I used MSVC6 so far without problem, I never tried to compile ptlib/h323plus on VC express editions, but the problem maybe is that express editions do not support ATL. Any solution to this? I used the latest source code from h323plus.org - h323plus 1.20.1 & PTLib 2.0.1, followed the instructions by voxgratia and loaded ptlib.sln into Visual studio. Regards, Zarko

Hi I have a sample application which supports QCIf, CIF and 4CIF. I have used it with the stable version of OpenMCU 2.2.3 which worked fine for CIF and QCIF. For 4CIF, I've downloaded the latest code from CVS. And as you have mentioned about altering the frameSize variable in the constructor of the OpenMCU class , I've done the requisite. OpenMCU::OpenMCU() : OpenMCUProcessAncestor(ProductInfo) { endpoint = NULL; #if OPENMCU_VIDEO frameSize = H323Capability::cif4MPI; #endif } But with this change, OpenMCU crashes as soon as the invitation for conferencing is sent out. Hi, One of the emerging standards that attracts me is H.presence - and I see from the 1.20.2 distribution of h323plus that the recent draft of AVD-3293 is included. However, whilst the code stubs are built by the parser, those stubs don't appear to be included when building the h323plus library. Adding their inclusion to src/Makefile in the H323_H460 section and rebuilding fails with what appear to be fundamental errors (copied at http://pastebin.ca/911251). Have I missed something obvious? I'm trying to build in an Ubuntu 7.10 environment with g++ 4.1.3. Also, I note that the stubs present in CVS under /extensions/h460/h460.presence are different from those bundled in h323lib-proper. Is there some magic documented somewhere that would enable me to build the testapp under the extensions tree? Sorry if this is all a bit "n00b"-like -- I'm new to h323plus. Feel free to kick me towards a readme somewhere that I most likely have missed! After looking in our beloved (hated by others) Wikipedia, in the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMD_Performance_Library, I found that the AMD contributed to an open source version of the library, based on Apache License v2. So, for ones that *need* of an open source code (or want to learns about CPU intrinsics) instead of free use but closed souce (APL) see and contribute to the project http://framewave.sourceforge.net. I'll continue to port ptlib colours conversions and the h.323 video codecs to the APL version. After this I'll see if make the same to the Framewave version. PS.: I'm working to made the video split of OpenMCU a little more managed, in a week or two I'll send the files ;) -- ----- Jogue RPG, alimente o lado criativo!

To all OpenMCU now supports either CIF, 4CIF or 16CIF video mixer. This means if endpoints are about to support HD and large frame sizes then they can send and receive at those frame sizes with the MCU with H.263. By default it is still CIF but you can change the size by altering the frameSize variable in the constructor of the OpenMCU class. Simon

To not spend work in reinventing the wheel I want to know if there are people working in the codecs and PColourConverter classes using the AMD Performance Library. AMD is providing the APL lib in Linux, Windows and Solaris flavours, and they version of GNU GCC 4 for RH and SuSe. (http://developer.amd.com) I'm woking in a project for use in internet2, so I'll 'spend' some time in create of a RAW YVU420 codec, but reading the APL manuals they provide suport for H.264 :). If some have interest or already in the same effort.... If someone already have a RAW codec or already using the APL please can share some hints on sourceforge forums of this project, I'll be pleased. Other question I have is how to add the H.263 video capability in H323Plus, I'm new to the H.323 and openH323 implementation and I am a bit lost with the modifications in H323plus. ** When the work is done I'll ask to put the code or the link it to the internet (it's a project sponsored by the government for a public university so, I think I'll have no problems in sharing the codes produced/modified) -----

H.460.18/19 support now in h323plus

Guys Just a quick note H.460.18/19 client support has now been added to h323plus. The source code and a very basic sample app have been added to the extensions/h460 directory in the CVS http://h323plus.cvs.sourceforge.net/h323plus/extensions/h460/h460.18/ It compiles with h323plus v1.20.1 available from the h323plus website and has been tested against Tandberg gatekeepers. Both GnuGk (default) and H.460.18/19 NAT methods work without conflict so you should be able to support both the standard H.460.18/19 and the GnuGk methods in your applications without any problems. Simon, Maybe the problem is that the funtionality that was implemented in the old H323_H263Codec::Read() method has gone away, isn't it? It seems that in that code was implemented the adaptivepacketdelay feature.
