FECC H.224/H.281 Implementation

Hi All I want to implement FECC H.224/H.281 in my project. I am using h323plus on windows platform. Can anybody guide me how to do that.? I have many queries related to that 1) Is h323_h224 channel is open by default in h323plus or do I need to open it explicitly 2) Which is the best way to get h224handler or h281handler? Video Codec Plugin Problem Continued

Hi I have done as you mentioned in class derived from H323EndPoint. I added capabilities as follows. AddAllCapabilities(0, 0, "*"); AddAllUserInputCapabilities(0, P_MAX_INDEX); I am using Visual Studio.Net 2003 for my application. This is the trace in the output window of VS 2003 Loaded 'C:\PWLIB_PLUGINS\h261vic_pwplugin.dll', No symbols loaded. Loaded 'C:\PWLIB_PLUGINS\h263ffmpeg_pwplugin.dll', Symbols loaded. I guess the dlls are loaded but codecs are not actually plugged in because of some reason. When I checked the capabilities only two codecs G711 U and A law are there in it and remaining 8 enteries show H323_UserInputCapability string . Please Help!!!

File Transfer Capability added to CVS

Guys I have added the first cut of the file transfer capability to the CVS. The implementation (which is really TFTP tunneled thro' RTP) currently has a default transfer rate of 132kbits/s or 16 Kbytes/s however the rate can be changed and the transfer speed negotiated between the parties. The concept uses large TFTP blocks that are segmented transmitted and resequenced via RTP. In this way large transfer rates are possible over error prone networks with UDP as well as being compatible with NAT Traversal mechanisms like GnuGk,STUN etc. If I get some time I will release a sample application. Simon I think the reason why dynamic H263 codec is not being loaded is because of the flags field in PluginCodec_Definition For dynamic codec flag is PluginCodec_MediaTypeVideo | // audio codec PluginCodec_MediaTypeExtVideo | //extended video PluginCodec_RTPTypeExplicit, // specified RTP type which makes up value of 69. Now in H323PluginCodecManager::RegisterCodecs() function the check ( videoSupported && ((encoder.flags & PluginCodec_MediaTypeMask) == PluginCodec_MediaTypeVideo ) && strcmp(encoder.sourceFormat, "YUV420P") == 0 ) fails because (encoder.flags & PluginCodec_MediaTypeMask) == 5 and PluginCodec_MediaTypeVideo = 4 . There is no flag check for extended video. So the codec is not loaded. I am using H323plus version 1.19.5 downloaded from h323plus site. I am just calling AddAllCapabilities(0, 0, "*") to load the plugins. Is there something else to be done to load extended video capabilities because I think this call is not loading extended video codecs because of the reason mentioned above.

Hi Simon I am now using the latest H263 plugin from CVS repository having extended video capability feature added. After adding all capabilities the capability table now shows only two types of H263 capability One for CIF and other for QCIF. The dynamic size capability which is defined in the PluginCodec_Definition is not loaded now and that only contains extended video support. So I am not able to open extended video channel since capability is not added. I have one more doubt that when OpenExtendedVideoSession is called it matches local extended videocapability with extended video capability in remote side capability table. But in my application when I check the remote side capability table it shows no extended video capability and the table size is just 3. So even if I am able to successfully add extended video capability on local side then remote side capability match will fail in OpenExtendedVideoSession () call. H323ExtendedVideoCapability * remoteCapability = (H323ExtendedVideoCapability *)remoteCapabilities.FindCapability(localCapability); I am connecting with Polycom PVX with H239 content check enabled. I have one more doubt regarding H323Plus and plugin versions given on www.h323plus.org and sourceforge.net h323plus cvs repository. Earlier I was using plugins version 1.19.5 downloaded from h323plus site but I guess the one on CVS is more updated. I am having some problems downloading entire code from CVS. When will the latest plugin and H323plus release be updated on h323plus site? Please help

Hi I have done the following in class derived from H323EndPoint this->AddAllCapabilities(0, 0, "*"); this->AddAllExtendedVideoCapabilities(0,P_MAX_INDEX); Then during call I called H323Connection::OpenExtendedVideoSession( unsigned role,H323ChannelNumber &) in H323EndPoin::OnConnectionEstablished() In OpenExtendedVideoSession() it breaks without opening extended video channel because the check (remoteCapability != NULL) fails. I am trying to connect my application with Polycom PVX with H239 content enabled I couldn't find H239 sample on CVS on sourceforge. Please help.

Hi Simon Thanks for ur earlier response. Plugins are working perfectly fine now. Can u give me some way into how to create H.239 extended video channel. I guess we have to add extended video capability into capability table first but I have not succeeded in that till now. How can we change the default video channel to extended video channel for transmission of data. Thanks

H323plus has native NAT support with GnuGK

Guys Just a quick note I have committed GnuGk Nat support into the H323plus CVS. This means that the library will be able to natively traverse NAT when registered with GnuGk. There is no special code changes required as the support has been integrated directly into the library. The only requirement is that you enable supporting nated endpoints in GnuGk. [RoutedMode] SupportNatedEndpoints=1 To work GnuGk needs to be on a public IP or configured to work behind a NAT (There is an example nat.ini in the /etc directory) Details of GnuGk Nat Traversal can be found here http://www.gnugk.org/nat-traversal.html Happy New Year Simon
