This is a progress report on the "formal invitation" required for the visa. MII (Ministry of Information Industry) will issue the Visa Notification (equivalent to invitation letter) to each participant. The process will be as follows:

1/ Each possible participant provides necessary information by filling in the visa application form. I will distribute the form with the following items already filled in:

• Purpose of journey and place to visit in China
• Company or person to visit in China, name(s), address and phone no.

At the moment I am awaiting these pieces of information from the meeting

host.

Please note that even though we use the visa application form for conveying information necessary for the "invitation", you need actual visa application to the Chinese authority in your country.

2/ Each possible participant sends the filled in form together with his/her fax number information to myself by a certain date (tentatively the end of this month).

3/ I will send them collectively to the meeting host.

4/ MII telefaxes the visa notification to each possible participant.
