Geoff,
We do not have something like that defined in H.323, but it is something we could certainly do. Gunnar Hellstrom might be a valuable resource in this effort.
We have either the option of putting the text into a separate stream and then synchronizing the text and video at the remote end, or putting the text into the video stream itself. Which is preferable, I don't know, but I suspect Gunnar has insight into that.

Hi, does anyone know of a method by which real-time subtitles could be added to an H.323 conference? Is there a recognised protocol or method, or is it in the H.323 roadmap?
Any information gratefully recieved.
Geoff Constable.
