Dear colleagues,
The ITUhttp://www.itu.int/en/Pages/default.aspx is organizing a Workshop on “Internet of Things – Trends and Challenges in Standardizationhttps://www.itu.int/en/ITU-T/Workshops-and-Seminars/iot/201402/Pages/default.aspx” in Geneva, Switzerland, on 18 February 2014. The workshop will be collocated with the IoT Global Standards Initiative (IoT-GSIhttps://www.itu.int/en/ITU-T/gsi/iot/Pages/default.aspx), 19-25 February 2014.
The key objectives of the workshop are to assemble IoT experts from industry, government and academia, and to explore the status of various standards initiatives in IoT and machine-to-machine communications (M2M) at ITU as well as other standards developing organizations (SDOs). A particular focus will be on the progress made in IoT-related standards and protocols development in the university, research and open source communities. The target audience consists of managers and engineers working with IoT applications, service providers planning on delivering IoT solutions, and policy and standards makers.
An Exhibition is planned during the workshop. Exhibitors from industry, government, research institutes and academia are invited to cover Internet of Things, general matters as well as specific application domains and solutions. Should you be interested in participating (e.g. giving a demo, showcasing projects etc.), please reserve your booth by completing and returning the exhibitors formhttps://www.itu.int/en/ITU-T/Workshops-and-Seminars/iot/201402/Documents/Exhibitors%20Info-sp.doc, indicating your specific requirements to tsbworkshops@itu.intmailto:tsbworkshops@itu.int as quickly as possible and no later than 15 January 2014.
