<P><FONT SIZE=2>I've administered the Megaco list on three systems now: majordomo, listserv, and mailman. Of them all, only mailman allows me to specify spam filters, to a limited extent. I have to be extremely careful, because IETF rules really do not permit any hint of moderation of true list discussion. However, it's amazing how effective a simple rule like: "Hold messages without a specific addressee" can be.</FONT></P>

<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> it in the usual way but before it gets sent to the mail list,</FONT>

<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> send you a message. If you respond to the message, you</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> authorize LISTSERV to</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> send the message. Since most SPAM is spoofed, the "sender" will not</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> acknowledge LISTSERV and the message will not get sent.</FONT>
