Dear colleagues,

ITU is organizing a Workshop on IPv6, which will be held at ITU headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland, from 4 to 5 September 2008.

The main purpose of this event is to raise awareness on the importance and opportunities that IPv6 deployment will generate, and to answer key questions related to international public policy issues on the migration from IPv4 to Ipv6. The emphasis of this workshop is on economic aspects of IP address allocation as well as on identifying future directions for ITU's related work, including technical standardization and capacity building assistance to developing countries.

In particular, in line with the activities undertaken by ITU-T Study Group 2 and Study Group 3, the workshop will address the questions raised in Study Group 3 - Contribution 30 and its addendum.

To participate to the workshop please register at: http://www.itu.int/cgi-bin/htsh/edrs/ITU-T/workshop/edrs.registration.form?_eventid=3000028

The the ITU website at http://itu.int/ITU-T/worksem/ipv6/200809 for more detailed information on the workshop.

Best regards,
Simao
