GK implementation

Hi all people,
I don't want to bother you with basic questions, I'd just like to ask you if
there is a place or a way to find information on the basics of a gatekeeper
implementation.

The aim of out research consortium is to start designing an open source
gatekeeper on the Linux/Unix platform.

Our basis are the H323 recommendations and mailing lists and a good software
staff: what I'd like is some high level indications about a gatekeeper
implementation (also to dimension the work to be done).

I hope someone can help, and thanks in advance.
