<span style="color:black">ITU is planning to launch its 3rd IPTV Application Challenge
<a href="http://www.itu.int/en/ITU-T/challenges/iptv/Pages/3rd-IPTV-Challenge.aspx">
"Better Quality of Life with Global Standards: an Accessible World for All"</a> jointly with
</span><a href="http://www.paralympic.org/">International Paralympics Committee (IPC)</a><span style="color:black">, to identify innovative accessibility solutions in IPTV systems based on ITU standards (ITU-T Recommendations) that will improve quality of life
for persons of all abilities.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:5.0pt;margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:5.0pt;margin-left:0cm;line-height:12.0pt;background:white">
<span style="color:black">The Challenge aims at raising awareness of the importance of multimedia and multimodal audiovisual accessibility for everyone, especially persons with a variety of levels and types of disability and to promote innovative ideas that
could be further developed for actual deployment in systems built to ITU-T’s global IPTV standards.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The winning applications are planned to be showcased at the Rio Paralympics in 2016.
