I have a question on APC-1623.

If memory serves me right, Q.2931 uses only Release and Release Complete, i.e.

---- Release ----> <--- Release Complete ----

As I am conscious of the numbers of messages flying around I was wondering if this is sufficient and this would be a better way to go.

This is correct: contrary to Q.931, Q.2931 does not use a DISCONNECT message.
