H.Multilin

Dear colleagues, Could any of you help me with following question. In H.324 D.4.6.1 "Exceptional bypass of V.140" it is explained how to bypass (or when it is possible to bypass) V.140. I wonder if it is possible to use H.multilink (H.226) if V.140 is bypassed? In other words: Is it possible to start H.multilink later than from the beginning. (start without H.226 and connect it later).
