Albrecht, Simon,

I spent a while trying to understand what you were telling me.  I opened the files you reported and they appeared to be just fine.  I believe the files are, indeed, correct.

What’s very strange is if I click on this link:

http://ftp3.itu.ch/av-arch/avc-site/2005-2008/0801_Seo/AVD-3294.zip

I get a window in IE asking if I would like to open or save AVD-3249.zip.  I used wget on Linux and discovered that the web server at the ITU is actually returning a 301 on the HTTP GET request!

So, I think the documents are correct, but I think there is an issue with the web server. Below is the debug trace with the key items highlighted.

It seems to be doing this for some of the files, but not all of them.  It appears to be due to the fact that AVD-3294.zip is not yet uploaded and the server is trying to be intelligent about which document to return.  Perhaps I ought not provide links until the files are uploaded, but I had assumed that the web server would simply return “404 - not found,” rather than do what it is doing.

Have you seen a file that is not shaded in yellow return the wrong document?  Only those not shared in yellow have been uploaded.

Paul

... zip file contains 3269 (instead 3296), appearently a twisted number issue.

SG16 Experts,

I will be out of the office next week during the holidays here in the US.  I will allocate document numbers for any requests I  receive this week, but will not be able to allocate additional numbers until January 2, 2008.

This is the list of all documents that have been posted or for which numbers have been allocated:

http://ftp3.itu.ch/av-arch/avc-site/2005-2008/0801_Seo/0801_Seo.html

If you see any mistakes, please bring that to my attention.  The items shaded in yellow are document numbers that have been requested, but ones that have not been posted.  Note, also, that until the document arrives, the title of the document is subject to change.

Best Regards and Happy Holidays!

Paul
