Alan,
you may have noted a number of specific requests that I to addressed to you and your co-authors regarding the overall requirements of this document, particularly in relation to other IETF documents such as the RTCP SSM draft which now makes use of the XR format
There are changes to the packet format in particular and there are numerous requirements on the IANA section (incl setting up a registry as Steve pointed out). This makes me doubt that a single further revision of the draft will do. I shall sent you our comments as soon as possible. And we should get it done quickly.
Thanks, Joerg
The latest draft of draft-ietf-avt-rtcp-report-extns-01.txt was discussed at this week's IETF AVT meeting and seemed to be reasonably well accepted. Some detailed comments were received via the AVT mailing list prior to the meeting and these are being resolved by email. None of the changes made in response to the comments are substantial in nature, and the changes requested at the meeting related primarily to IANA and Security issues.
An updated version draft-ietf-avt-rtcp-report-extns-02.txt should be available shortly and we plan to ask the WG chair if this can go for last call for comments.
