Dear colleagues,

ITU is planning to launch its 3rd IPTV Application Challenge "Better Quality of Life with Global Standards: an Accessible World for All"  jointly with International Paralympics Committee (IPC), to identify innovative accessibility solutions in IPTV systems based on ITU standards (ITU-T Recommendations) that will improve quality of life for persons of all abilities.

The Challenge aims at raising awareness of the importance of multimedia and multimodal audiovisual accessibility for everyone, especially persons with a variety of levels and types of disability and to promote innovative ideas that could be further developed for actual deployment in systems built to ITU-T’s global IPTV standards.

The winning applications are planned to be showcased at the Rio Paralympics in 2016.
