Thanks! that resolved the problem with the certificate. And setting the PTLIBPLUGINDIR solved the video problem! I'm so close!
But now it's not registering with GNU Gatekeeper. I think it's a password problem. I can see how to 'add' a password with addpasswd but addpasswd is giving me a floating point error. I'm compiling gnugk 2.2.8 now. And I'll let you know what happens.

by default, the libavcodec.so need to be at /usr/local/lib. like this:

if it isn't, try to link. You can to link the libavcodec.so to avcodec too.
About the openmcu.pid error, I'm not sure if you can run if other user else root. Because you are putting -u mimiller. Can you run as root? I didn't have this error (permission denied) because I always run as root.

Hi Mik,
this archive is not mandatory. Does it occurs when you start the application? if yes, try to change config archive located by default at $HOME/.pwlib_config/.ini. You can delete the certificate parameter.

I've gotten openmcu to compile but now I'm running into an error with the certificate? I hadn't had this problem before when I compiled OpenMCU 2.2.3?

I can try a different server certificate from another repository, or will this cause me problems? Also, where should this certificate reside?
